HAPPY! SO HAPPY!

Well, its been so long since i posted here and even since i visited klango. Things have been moving along nicely here, although quite hectic sometimes. Last week we had a couple lots of bad news which made us both feel pretty low but being here makes things seem so much better.

We will have been here for 6 months on march first. Its gone so fast, like lightening! I sometimes just sit in our lounge and listen to the birds ouside sometimes and think what a lovely place we live in.

Our social life has greatly improved since we moved here too. I know i’ve written in here some of the events that have taken place and some of the trips we have been on.

A couple of weeks ago, we went on a mystery tour to a little village and we stopped on the quay and had a cup of tea and it wass wonderful. The weather was so nice too.

CHATTER!

Well, it is so very long since i wrote in my blog, i wouldn’t blame anyone if they’d forgotten all about me….hahaha. Life is wonderful!

We are kept busy settling into our new home and enjoying the countryside and social events laid on by the staff here. We have made many friends and its wonderful to talk to so many nice people.

We love our flat so much. It is a two bedroomed flat and it has a balcony which we love to go out onto sometimes, even if its cold. This part of the country usually has quite a mild winter but this year the while of the UK has experienced a very cold winter with lots of snow. The temprature over the last few days has not been above freezing.

In October or november we had a few storms which i thought were quite scary as the wind was howling around the building and the rain came down in torrents. It was almost like an american hurricane. Those lasted a few weeks.

Christmas and new year was a wonderful time. We both got presents and we had a few parties. It was all so much fun. I haven’t had as much fun for years.

I am now looking forward to the summer when the weather is warmer and we can go out and enjoy the sunshine and nature.

Well, thats enough rambling from me for today. I’d just like to wish anyone reading this, a very happy new year and i hope 2010 will be a great year for all of you.

Tonight Damien and i went to a karoke night. It was great! we all sung loads of songs and everyone enjoyed themselves a lot.

Where we live, there is a lot of activities that are laid on for the tenants and its great fun to join in some of them. Its a good way to meet peiple and get together with friends.

OUR TRIP TO THE SEASIDE

A few days ago, we took a trip to the seaside. Its so nice to be so close to the seaside and be able to hear the seagulls and see the wonderful view and breathe the fresh air.

The weather was so gorgious that day and there was a gentle breeze. ~Damien and I had an ice cream and then walked along the front. It was a wonderful day.

WE! ARE! HERE!

Well, we are in the country. Its so very very nice here. We have been here about 2 and a half weeks now and we’ve settled in quite nicely.

We have already made lots of friends here and everyone is so friendly.

The moving down here went realy well. We had a removal van to take all our stuff down here as we were moving 222 miles away from london. We would never go back to london now. Its the best move we have ever made.

OUR LAST WEEKEND HERE!

This will be our last weekend in this place. Our last weekend in london, even. It feels pretty strange!

I have lived in london all my life, well in the suburbs mostly but i’ve lived in the heart of london with damien for about 6 years now. I’ve always been around london’s heart though as most of my social life was based there when i was younger. Now the rest of my life will be based in the country where there is grass and trees and nature.

London is always so built-up, especially in the heart. I used to like it well enough, but now its too fast, too unsociable and people are just too much in a rush. Its not the main reason we are moving although it does make up a big part of it. If i was to list all the reasons here i’d be here till wednesday and you’d still be reading till next week! lol!

Well, the next time i write this blog i’ll be where i want to be with damien in the country. I’d like to publicly thank everyone for your prayers and thoughts during this time, for if it wasn’t for those, i don’t think we would have got where we are today. I strongly believ in the power of prayer. Well, chow for now and see ya on the flip side guys.

god bless and hello country!

ONE WEEK TO GO!

Well there is just under a week to go now till we start on our big adventure which is the country. We’re doing quite well with the packing i think and there has not been too many problems really.

The excitement is really building up now and also the stress to a certain degree as its always stressful working toward a deadline. You just have to hope and pray that you get everything done in time.

We are starting to imagine now what we will be up to on the day after we arrive and how exciting and new everything will be. Its the biggest move either of us has ever done and its scary, nerve-racking and exciting all at the same time.

Although we know it is the best move we will ever make, it’ll be really strange for us for a while to be in a totally different part of the country. We often thought its a little like emmegrating as apart from obviously speaking the same language, and having the same currency, not much else is the same really. Life is more relaxed there, quiet and peaceful. People are more friendly and helpful and less enclined to rush around and just think of themselves. I think being there will be like being in a place 30 years ago but still having the modern stuff too like the internet and so on. we’ll have the best of both worlds.

ITS OFFICIAL!

We got the confirmation letter today of our move to the country, well the one through the post anyway. We had a copy through email a few days ago and we had to formally accept the offer which we did via email.

We then got a moving date. We now have a month to pack and get ready. Its so exciting!
